How Moving to China Changed My Life and Career

Moving to China honestly changed my life completely.

Before this, I worked very different jobs in Canada and never imagined I would become an English teacher living abroad. After a while, I started feeling like I wanted something different for my life. I wanted more experiences, more freedom, and the chance to explore another part of the world.

That’s when I started researching how to teach English abroad. One thing I realized quickly is that most schools want teachers to have a TESOL certification, especially if you want better opportunities and stronger applications.

I decided to get certified through ONTESOL Canada, and honestly, I really recommend it for people thinking about teaching English online or abroad. The course helped me understand classroom management, lesson planning, and how to work with English learners in real situations.

After getting certified, things started moving much faster for me. Today, I live in China and work as an English teacher with kids. It’s been one of the biggest adventures of my life.
